Ed Chinn has served as the Executive Director of the International Worship Institute for eight years. In that role, he is responsible for directing all the logistical and administrative challenges of convening the event. But, Ed has also (since 1973) studied and written extensively about worship, the church, and the dynamics of the God-human relationship - spirit and flesh, lyrics and melody.

As a writer, Ed is the author of the soon-to-be-published book, Footprints in the Sea. His work has been published in The Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, The Atlanta Constitution, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and various other newspapers, magazines, and websites. He has also been interviewed by the Washington Post and widely quoted in national journals.
